Grass stains are protein/dye based. Treat them by soaking the hem in a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1) or using an enzyme-based detergent. Gently agitate with a soft brush (like a toothbrush) before washing. Avoid hot water until the stain is gone, as heat can set it.
